Wedding Bells for Two Spaatzen

Who says fraternization doesn’t pay? Not these two. Now one of only a handful of couples with his and hers Spaatz Award certificates on the wall,Richard Griffith, #1228, and Jamie Foote, #1329, enjoyed a December 18th wedding among friends and family–including their extended CAP family. Presiding over the wedding ceremony was CAP Chaplain (Lt Col) John O. Hosler, chaplain for the Weir Cook Cadet Squadron, Indiana Wing.

The Griffiths have taken up residence in Minot, North Dakota, where Richard, an active-duty Air Force first lieutenant, serves as Medical Information Systems Flight Commander, 5th Medical Support Squadron (ACC). Just prior to the wedding, Jamie received her undergraduate degree from Olivet Nazarene University. The newlyweds honeymooned in London, England. Also in attendance at the wedding were Chris Curtis, #1317, and Kelly Waelde, #1338. An honor guard of cadet officers from the Indiana Wing provided the Saber Arch. 13 Jul 2000
