Third Time’s A Charm

The first time, it was for earning the Spaatz Award. The second time, it was for assuming command of CAP’s Nebraska Wing. Now, for the third time in his life, newly-elected Spaatz Association president Rich Anderson, #193, has been selected for promotion to colonel—this time, by the U.S. Air Force. Along with fellow SpaatzenAndrew K. Weaver, #343, Rich was one of 680 lieutenant colonels selected from a field of over 5,000 eligible officers. Rich is a Joint Service Officer assigned to Headquarters, Commander in Chief, U.S. Pacific Command, and a 1998 graduate of Air War College. 20 Sep 2000
