We’ve Been Refueled!
Welcome to the NEW web page of Your Spaatz Association!
More than a year in the making, this new web page represents the refueling of our organization and our initiatives. We’ve rewritten or updated just about everything on our website to improve our programs and our support to our members and the Cadets of the Civil Air Patrol.
We still have a lot of work to do in cleaning up our digital dust, so please bear with us for the next few weeks as we put the finishing touches on our new award pages, Spaatz listings, and resources.
A Few Important Messages
If you joined in the last year and you haven’t received your membership packet, watch your mail. We are kicking off a Membership Refresh next week. All current members will receive a new member certificate and an updated membership packet outlining our programs and initiatives. Not sure if you are current? Drop me a note.
If you are a Life Member who didn’t receive your engraved coin or gold lapel pin, go directly to The Diamond Shop and submit a replacement order. You will be sent your materials DIRECTLY FROM THE MINT free of charge. We’ve had a lot of trouble will fulfillment orders over the last 12-18 months, but we think our new electronic order process will solve this problem.
Today also kicks off our Board Member election season. Nominations are open from 15 June through 14 July. If you would like to join our Board of Directors and help with Spaatz initiatives, submit an online application packet.
You Can Help Today!
We have several open opportunities on our new Volunteer page. If you would like to commit some time to our program, please feel free to contact us.
We are also actively looking for Spaatz award presentation photos, stories, and tales from “the good ol’ days” for The Question Mark, our relaunched newsletter. Please send us your items on our Submissions page.
Lots more news coming in the next few weeks: a new program for Wing and Region Liaisons, The Spaatz Network — online forums for mentoring and social networking, Spaatz wallet cards, an expanded open season for scholarships, and much more.
Thanks again for your patience and your support. It is good to be back.
Mike Hower, Lt Col, USAF (Ret.)
