    Membership Matters

    Your membership matters…

100% of your dues* support The Spaatz Association’s vital programming for cadets and alumni, including:

    Flight Scholarships

The Association awards four to eight flight scholarships each year to deserving cadets who have shown the aptitude to fly.  To date, we’ve provided more than $100,000 to cadets who dream of flight.

    Leadership Grants

Developing leaders is a key objective of The Association, and in 2013 we started a grant program to support leadership growth in today’s cadets.  Each year, we grant more than $25,000 to individuals, units, and special programs.

    Alumni and Cadet Networking Events

Our initiatves, such as the Mid-Winter Dinner and the Gathering-of-Diamonds at the annual CAP National Conference promote networking, and provide an opportunity for today’s cadets to meet with and be mentored by other Spaatzen and senior aerospace leaders.

Alumni Chapters at the Wing Level (coming summer 2016)

The Association has paved the way for networking and developing tomorrow’s leaders through its new Alumni Chapter and Wing Liaison program.  In summer 2016, we will begin to establish Spaatzen-led chapters in each Wing to promote Spaatz initiatives, mentor cadets, and support the CAP Cadet Program.

The Spaatz Network (coming fall 2016)

The Spaatz Network program has been designed to support the professional development and networking needs of a dynamic and diverse alumni community.

    Advocacy (coming 2017)

Spaatz Advocacy brings together individuals interested in youth leadership development and aerospace education — Spaatzen, cadets, senior members, parents, and others — to convey their support for Civil Air Patrol youth development to decision makers at National Headquarters and in government.

    Spaatz Social Media

The Association has a robust presence in social media, including Facebook and LinkedIn, along with a member’s only LinkedIn group, designed to promote social networking and sharing across Spaatzen and the community.

    The Question Mark Newsletter

The Question Mark newsletter (both online, and in print starting September 2016) keeps members up to date on the issues, activities, and people of The Spaatz Association.
