Working with the Director of Development, the Fundraising Manager is someone who manages all fundraising efforts for the Association. Also serves as the Director of
The Spaatz Society.
Requirements
- Expertise in fundraising, including corporate fundraising; trust, foundation, and statutory fundraising; major donor fundraising; legacy fundraising; events fundraising; community fundraising; and individual giving
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written; experience in writing online copy desired; good presentation skills desired
- Familiarity with the CAP Cadet Program
- Ability to research opportunities using internet, phone, and library resources
- Database and IT skills to manage donor profiles, companies, contacts, and criteria for giving
- Organizational skills for leading a diverse, volunteer team
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Enthusiasm and commitment
Responsibilities
- Work with the Director of Development to develop annual fundraising goals, an annual strategy, and specific fundraising plans
- Identify and explore donor pools
- Work with the National Treasurer to develop an launch The Spaatz Society in the fall of 2016, and manage the Society after launch
- Publish the Leading the Legacy Philanthropic Newsletter on an annual basis (first publication, January 2017)
- Work with the National Treasurer to manage endowments
- Personally handle VIP donors
- Identify opportunities for and write grant proposals
- Plan and manage marketing efforts in conjunction with the National Secretary
- Develop alliances with other organizations
- Brief the Board on a quarterly basis on fundraising efforts and successes
