The email that with base access information apparently was not received by everyone.  If you need base access (18 and over without your own military credentials), send a text to the following number (763-333-8733) along with the name that you registered under and verify your email address.

For security of information, we will verify your registration with the Gala and send you the link to register for access, both to this phone number as well as the email you provided.

Once you receive the link, follow these instructions:

Visitor Access to the Joint Base:

Upon the closing of the event registration, a manifest of all guests was provided to Base Operations.

All attendees who are 18+ years of age and do not hold active credentials issued by the Department of War (DOW) are required to register online with Army Visitor Control.

The registration process can be completed in 3-5 minutes, and all of your information will be submitted directly via the Army’s secure portal. The Spaatz Association will not be facilitating any of your personally identifiable information (PII).

Please note that the Trusted Traveler program has been suspended. Non-DOW ID holders should register via the secure portal, even if traveling to the Joint Base with someone who has a military ID.

When registering, first, select “Army” for the service branch, and then select “JBM-HH” from the list of installations.

When you arrive at the following screen, please select “Visitor Pass.” Do not select “Special Event Pass” as this option is reserved for garrison-hosted events.

As outlined below, when prompted to identify your “Reason for Visit,” select “Other” from the drop-down menu, and then enter the following: SPATES HALL – SPAATZ GALA (copy & paste)

You should receive a confirmation of your registration via the mobile number with which you register.

Upon arrival at the Joint Base on Friday, please present the form of identification with which you registered for ease of access to the installation.

Transportation to the Joint Base:

As announced, there will be complimentary roundtrip shuttle transportation from the Crystal Gateway Marriott.

We have arranged for two 56-passenger coach buses to run in rotation for door-to-door transportation to and from the event venue.

To assist our team with planning for your arrival at the event, we kindly ask that you take a moment to complete the following form on the link we sent you via text.

Attire for the Evening:

As the Gala has been designated as a formal event, the attire for the evening’s gathering is black-tie, preferred.

The attire will be mess dress for military members attending in uniform, or the civilian formal equivalent.

Our Keynote Speaker, General Steven S. Nordhaus, Chief of the National Guard Bureau, will be attending in mess dress.

For Civil Air Patrol Members:

Mess dress, the corporate equivalent, civilian formalwear, or evening gowns for our female guests, is preferred.

Service dress or civilian business formal attire is certainly acceptable.

Cadets attending in uniform may wear either the semi-formal uniform or service dress. Cadets may attend in civilian formalwear or business attire.

For Our Civilian Guests:

Civilian formalwear, or evening gowns for our female guests, is preferred.

Business formal attire is certainly acceptable.
